Group fitness classes for flexibility and balance

Group fitness classes for flexibility and balance

If you’ve ever found yourself wishing for better balance, increased flexibility, or just a little more strength in your daily movements, you’re not alone. Luckily, group fitness classes for flexibility and balance offer fun and effective ways to achieve these goals while keeping you motivated and engaged.

Whether you're looking to stretch out tight muscles, build core strength, or simply move with greater ease, there’s a class for you!

Barre

Barre class

Barre blends elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and functional training into one energizing workout. With moves choreographed to uplifting music, this class will have you sculpting, slimming, and stretching your entire body. Using mini-balls and small hand weights, you’ll improve flexibility while toning muscles. And if you’re a senior looking for a more accessible option, there’s a version just for you!

Body Balance

For those who love variety, Body Balance (formerly called Body Flow) is the perfect fusion of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates. This class strengthens and stretches the body while centering the mind, leaving you feeling strong, flexible, and completely at peace.

Yoga

Women in yoga class

Yoga is a time-tested practice that enhances balance, circulation, and relaxation while reducing stress. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, there’s a class that fits your needs:

  • Chair Yoga: Ideal for those with limited mobility, this class offers gentle stretching and balance work from a seated or supported position.
  • Flow Yoga: A seamless series of poses linked with breath for increased flexibility and mental clarity.
  • Hatha Yoga: A slower-paced class focused on static postures and deep breathing, perfect for building strength and stability.
  • Power Vinyasa: A more intense, movement-driven practice that challenges flexibility, endurance, and focus.
  • Gentle Yoga: A mindful, meditative hour focused on improving balance, circulation, and range of motion.

No matter the style, yoga is an excellent way to strengthen both body and mind while improving posture and coordination.

High-Yo

High-Yo is a music-driven class that blends yoga-inspired stretching with strength and balance exercises. The goal? To improve overall flexibility and well-being while having fun! If you want to experience the power of stretching in a fresh, energetic way, High-Yo might just be your new favorite class.

Pilates

Pilates class

If you’re looking to develop lean, toned muscles while enhancing flexibility, Pilates is the way to go. This full-body workout uses gravity and your body’s resistance to build strength. Whether you’re flowing through exercises on a mat or incorporating small props like foam rollers and resistance rings, Pilates helps you improve core stability, posture, and balance.

Mat Meltdown

Mat Meltdown is a dynamic 30-minute class that fuses yoga and Pilates into a powerful, low-impact workout. Designed to improve flexibility, core stability, and overall strength, this class helps you melt away calories while being gentle on your joints. Perfect for all fitness levels, it’s an efficient way to stretch and strengthen in one go!

Tai Chi & Tai Chi Flow

Tai Chi Class

Tai Chi is often described as “meditation in motion.” This noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle exercises and stretches promotes balance, coordination, and stress relief. Tai Chi Flow takes it a step further by linking movements seamlessly, ensuring a fluid and calming experience. Beginners and experienced students alike can benefit from this low-impact yet highly effective practice.

No matter where you are in your fitness journey, these group fitness classes for flexibility and balance offer a welcoming and encouraging environment to help you stretch, strengthen, and stabilize your body.
