Job Description:

Seeking personal trainers who are certified from an accredited organizations. Clients and hours provided immediately upon hire. Create your own schedule with $15/hr starting pay. Position Summary:

This position will provide safe and effective one-to-one personal training to program participants. Be able to guide, educate, and motivate participants toward reaching their personal fitness goals. A working knowledge of strength training, flexibility, and cardiovascular training, with the ability to pass knowledge onto participants.


Responsibilities:

Serving the member is our first priority, the purpose of our work, and the key to our success!

  1. Return the call of a participant within 24 hours of receiving the message.
  2. Set up initial and follow-up appointments.
  3. Explain how the personal training program works and what personal training options are available to members.
  4. Self-motivated with the ability to train on an as-needed basis.
  5. Design and implement exercise programs that are both safe and effective for members and that will help them obtain their goals.
  6. Continue to sharpen and upgrade skills in the fitness field.
  7. Consult with the Fitness Director team when necessary.
  8. Become proficient at both testing and planning an exercise program for members.

  1. Responds to the individual needs of the other person.
  2. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area.

General Function:

Under the supervision of the Healthy Living Directors, to execute and instruct practices and programs of the Youth Sports Leagues, Camps and Youth Classes. To assist with YMCA special Events relevant to youth sports. To help mentor and develop youth skills in various sporting events, and must be willing to work weekday evenings and occasionally weekends.

    • Ability to do CPR and other basic first aid procedures
    • Ability to set-up and take down program equipment
    • Ability to plan and direct daily practice schedules

    Pay: $11.00 per hour
