We work together to serve the Lafayette community.
At the Y, we are always taking steps to be a local resource for wellness, youth development, and community care. Our exceptional members and community partners allow us to take the positive, productive actions we need to keep moving forward.
Positive social change starts at the YMCA.
By working together, we can all positively impact the world around us through volunteering and donating to programs that make a difference in the lives of those in need.
We take pride in the work we do at the Lafayette Family YMCA, but our volunteers and donors are the true stars of the show. Without their kindness, generosity, and time, we couldn’t provide the programs, scholarships, and assistance we do today.

Volunteers fill necessary roles at the Lafayette Family YMCA. A few ways that our volunteers give back include:
Leading the Board of Directors and committees
Coaching sports and leading educational programs
Providing youth members with opportunities for growth and skill-building
Supporting adults in the community by reaching out with resources
Advocating for initiatives that improve the community
Donating generous gifts for the support of our facilities and programs
Our community partners make a difference.
While there are lots of YMCA community service opportunities, our partnerships allow for even greater outreach and assistance. By joining us in service, you join all five of our partners in strengthening the community.
Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health
Focused on providing healthcare through Christ’s ministry, Franciscan offers health education courses to community members. They strive to cultivate a healthy environment in Greater Lafayette.
Dedicated to improving the health of patients and the community, IU Health offers support and education programs for diabetes management and more. These opportunities are designed with Lafayette in mind.
Tax preparation for low- and moderate-income community members is available through Ivy Tech. This service provides experience for excellent students from the business school while helping those in the area.
NCHS provides funds to health programs around north central Indiana through generous grants. Their work and donation to the Lafayette Family YMCA childcare center is instrumental in building a strong, healthy community.
