If you’re searching for “youth sports near me,” look no further than the leagues at the Lafayette Family YMCA.

We offer youth sports for kids aged 3-12 and teen sports for our older players. Sports sessions last approximately 8 weeks, with different options throughout the year. With a variety of choices, your child is sure to find something he or she loves.

Our youth sports leagues are focused on building confidence and developing character. This fun environment provides opportunities to stay healthy, learn something new, become part of a team, and gain skills and values necessary to be a great teammate.

Youth Basketball Leagues

Our youth basketball leagues are great for kids ages 3-12. We take time to teach players the rules and techniques of the game while also working to instill values of teamwork, respect, responsibility, and honesty.


Youth dodgeball is offered for kids ages 8-12. Players enjoy a classic game in a fun and safe environment while burning plenty of energy, making new friends, and learning the value of teamwork.

Flag Football

The Y provides a chance for kids ages 4-8 to play flag football. Each week, players will learn about teamwork in their combined practice and game. During flag football, learning new skills and having fun are top priorities!

Youth Soccer

Youth soccer is available for kids ages 3-8 at the YMCA. Our soccer program has a process that includes teaching the skill, demonstrating what is needed for success, practicing, applying skills, and having fun.


The Y offers opportunities for t-ball to kids ages 3-6. While learning the fundamentals of baseball, we also emphasize the importance of teamwork and self-confidence. Players practice for 40 minutes on one weeknight and play a game each weekend.


Wrestling is available for kids ages 4-8. At the Y, we teach our wrestlers the proper techniques to help them be successful. Additionally, we highlight the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
