Your child will make memories at Straight Arrow Day Camp.

YMCA Straight Arrow Day Camp is designed to encourage our youth to become a strong and confident leaders. These campers will participate in canoeing, fishing, archery, swimming, group games, and so much more!

Back in 1969, the Treece family had dreams of children experiencing nature and enjoying the outdoors. The Treece family graciously donated 40 beautiful acres to the Lafayette Family YMCA and it was named "Camp Treece." The YMCA also shared this vision and Straight Arrow Day Camp was started.

For the past 44 years, Straight Arrow Day Camp has become a tradition that has given children the opportunity to make their own special memories. The children have made memories, built lasting friendships, gained independence, and self-confidence. They left camp feeling good about themselves and thankful for the friends they made.

They won't want to leave camp when the day is over.

At the Lafayette Family YMCA, we want your child to have time to be active and to learn. That’s why we offer a variety of activities.

We take a bus out to camp where the fun really begins. Every week your child will experience a fun camp theme.

Campers will participate in all of our traditional camp activities while incorporating the theme and out character values.

    NO CAMPER LEFT BEHIND

The "No Camper Left Behind Scholarship Fund" is a financial assistance program established in honor of former Straight Arrow Director Harry Linback. Its purpose is to provide funding for those who may be unable to afford some of all of the cost to attend YMCA Straight Arrow Day Camp. Harry wanted every child to have a camp experience regardless of their financial situation.Priority will be given to those campers who participate in the cookie dough sale.
